Sofiyska Voda operated by Veolia in Bulgaria takes any chance to prove its devotion to the environment not only on theory, but in practice. This time our company is taking part in the may be the most extreme eco-action for cleaning the highest mountaintop in Bulgaria Musla (2925m) from constructions waste, scattered there for years. Musala is the highest top of Rila mointain from where comes the drinking water for Sofia. The voluntary action was initiated by Tangra Mega Rock Radio. Sofiyska Voda shared the idea and got into the realization by providing transportation technics, manpower and logistics.
The extreme cleaning action was realized under the rock sounds of the native bands D2 and Odd Crew. The two rock bands motivated the voluntaries, but played their music within the normal volume in order to protect the wild life in the mountain.
The two-days action for cleaning and bringing down 13 tones of the construction waste from nearly 3000 m went into the history also with the first rock concert under the clouds.
