Sofiyska Voda’s employees celebrated World Earth Day by planting 36 trees

Sofiyska Voda’s employees follow the tradition and each spring they plant a tree for every 1,000 refusals of paper bills. Last year almost 18,000 customers gave up receiving paper bills but in order to mark Earth Day, the number of the newly planted trees was doubled.

Trees were planted in the area of the full-day kindergarten Ezhko-Bezhko, 65 Primary School in Busmantsi and 108 Nikola Belovezhdov School in Druzhba 1 residential quarter on the occasion of the World Earth Day.

In order to support its environmental protection strategy and preserve the valuable natural resources, Sofiyska Voda, part of Veolia, provides its customers the option of receiving their invoices electronically.

‘With every refusal to receive a hard copy of the monthly invoice, our customers are able to contribute to nature conservation without having to make a special effort. We have committed to plant more trees in the hope that more and more people will join the cause’, as commented on behalf of the Company.

Every customer who makes a decision to give up the paper invoice may do it quickly and easily on Sofiyska Voda’s webpage.
