Veolia presented good practices at a seminar on energy efficiency

The Purpose of Veolia is the ecological transformation. Protecting the environment and mitigating our impact on the environment is at the heart of our business and economic model, said Francois Debergh, Country Director of Veolia for Bulgaria and Greece during the seminar "Tools and good practices for implementation of the objectives for energy saving and energy efficiency".

The event, organized by the Ministry of Energy in the Republic of Bulgaria, focused on renewable energy sources and limiting electricity consumption. Olaf Kipp, Managing Director of Veolia Energy Germany also participated in the forum.

Francois Debergh gave examples for the use of renewable energy sources, transforming waste into energy and optimum use of geothermal energy and the so-called heat recovery. He placed special emphasis on the good example from Bulgaria in the reduction of energy consumption and circular economy in action - Sofia’s Wastewater Treatment Plan near Kubratovo.

Olaf Kipp presented tools and good practices for implementation of the objectives for energy saving and energy efficiency. The main part of the work is analysing and auditing output data so that the necessary measures for achievement of the goals are determined. Veolia offers smart monitoring solutions – for measurement, management and improvement of energy efficiency.
